Learning a new language has always been challenging for almost everybody today. Many people desire to learn at least two languages in their lifetime. One language is English as primary, and the second language will be critical to helping our society.
Regarding the 2nd language, I would say that Spanish is essential for a person to study. This language is valuable and helpful regarding communication in the necessary circumstances.
Although Spanish is in high demand and becoming more influential to people globally, people want to study it for their own sake. To be 100% transparent with you, individuals have a passion for learning Spanish abroad.
Allow me to explain the reasons why people prefer to study Spanish abroad!
The following reasons will explain why people prefer to study Spanish abroad:
1st reason to study Spanish abroad is to learn the language
2nd reason to study Spanish abroad is to assimilate into the culture
3rd reason to study Spanish abroad is to make friendships
4th reason to study Spanish abroad is to explore “Expatriate” opportunities
The first reason why people prefer to study Spanish abroad is to learn the language well.
People believe that analyzing Spanish in a foreign environment will help them master it faster.

They believe this will happen because the location is heavily influenced by native speakers who speak the language daily. Being in a Spanish-speaking country will give you the ability to practice speaking the language.
Also, hearing Spanish words, phrases, and conversations will persuade you to get engaged in conducting discussions among people abroad. You will constantly listen to people speak and also develop strong listening comprehension skills.
The action of exposing oneself to a foreign environment will give a person a high command of Spanish, which will cause them to speak the language by force.
The second reason why people prefer to study Spanish abroad is to assimilate into the culture.
Most people have an interest in learning more about the culture of Latin America and the Caribbean.
They want to know more about traditions, customs, norms, and lifestyle values. Each person likes to see how the traditions and norms impact the native’s lives daily. For instance, holidays like “El Dia de Los Muertos” (Day of the Dead), “Los Tres Reyes Magos” (3 Kings Day), and “QuinceaƱera” (Sweet Fifteen), each day has its own purpose.

People want to blend into the culture by living part of it and using their Spanish skills to communicate. They do this immersion practice to get a “Real World” experience and live the lifestyle of a native speaker. Practicing this behavior will enable them to use their Spanish-speaking abilities to interact with others.
Getting the full effect of the cultural assimilation will help a person open their mindset to the values and beliefs of Latin America, plus influence them in Spanish mastery.
The third reason why people prefer to study Spanish abroad is to establish friendships.
Many individuals are interested in creating longtime friendships with Latin Americans.
Latinos are very friendly people who are family-oriented and hardworking in their daily lives. Americans like to meet people from diverse backgrounds and engage in conversations with them.

Most Hispanics strongly feel loyalty to family values and share good principles among strangers. They treat foreigners with a lot of respect and take them in like family.
Having this great impact of communication in a relationship encourages a foreigner to learn more Spanish and develop a bond among the native speakers.
By establishing great friendships with native speakers, a person will feel more comfortable practicing speaking Spanish with a lot of self-confidence.
The fourth reason why people prefer to study Spanish abroad is to explore “Expatriate opportunities.
A great number of people are fascinated with the daily life of living in Latin America.

People enjoy living the international lifestyle of speaking another language and adapting to a new culture. They will get touched by the culture shock of the country, then compare and contrast the differences between their home country and Latin America.
Also, people admire seeking new opportunities abroad, like business ventures, investments, and forming social groups with like-minded individuals. Most social groups will be associated with common aspects of cultural exchange or friendly gatherings.
By investigating “Expatriate opportunities,” a person can get more practice in Spanish with natives and exposure to the country’s cultural elements.
In conclusion, people prefer to study Spanish abroad for many great reasons that will benefit them in their endeavors.
Taking into consideration all of the reasons mentioned earlier, I can clearly say that people are increasing their ability to master Spanish effectively abroad. This is true because constant exposure to the Spanish language, from hearing to speaking and then to writing, will set a person up to be articulate.
